Amacy Works

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

This policy explains what data Amacy Works ("we", "us") collects through our Google Workspace add-ons, Shopify apps and this website, and how we use it. Amacy Works is the trade name of an independent developer based in Japan.

1. Google Workspace add-ons

What we access

Our add-ons request the narrowest permissions possible. For example, Heading Numbers & TOC uses only the documents.currentonly scope, which lets it read and edit only the document you have open when you use the add-on.

How the content is processed

Document content is processed inside Google's Apps Script environment to perform the action you request (for example, numbering headings). We do not copy, store or transmit your document content to our own servers.

What we store

Limited Use

Amacy Works' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train AI/ML models, do not sell it, and do not use it for advertising.

2. Shopify apps

When a merchant installs one of our Shopify apps, we receive the shop's domain, the access token Shopify issues, and only the store data the app needs to work (listed on each app's page). We do not access customer personal data unless an app's feature requires it, and we state it on that app's page when it does. We respond to Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks: we delete shop data within 48 hours of uninstallation (shop redact) and handle customer data requests and erasure requests as required.

3. Payments

Workspace add-on payments are processed by our payment partner, which acts as the merchant of record. We never see or store your full card number. Shopify app charges are billed by Shopify.

4. Sharing

We share data only with service providers needed to run our services (Google, Shopify, our payment partner, and our hosting provider Cloudflare), or when required by law. We do not sell personal data.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep license records while your subscription is active and for as long as tax law requires afterwards. You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing support@amacyworks.com.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA, the UK and California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to processing. Email us to exercise these rights; we will respond within 30 days.

7. International transfers

We operate from Japan, and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Japan has an adequacy decision from the European Commission.
